It is just over a week since filming finished, and the editing process has well and truly begun. I say begun, I have a rough draft of the short film in it's entireity, however this is when the smaller details seem to show themselves once you stand back to survey the scene. Sound has been an issue throughout, and I am working to rectify this at the miniute, and hopefully a little bit of ADR should fettle that. Also, although the initial car we had lost did feel like a something that was only of minor importance, it has been playing on my mind and I think it might be an idea to chase up an alternative, to add to the production value of the piece and help to restore the crumpled rear-end of this short film, which is also going to need some ADR work of it's own. Again, that's on me. However, I'm loving this process so far, I'm not defeated about all this, it is a wonderful learning curve that I can already tell is galvanising me for the next project.
