The timing for The Tourist could have been better. I am rehearsing for a short film that will shoot the weekend before TT, and its stressed me out for a fair while, but slowly, things have started to fall into place. Flights and accommodation are booked for the actors, the shot list is in place, which in turn will make the storyboarding simpler, and in regards to "Phobic", the short film I am line-learning for, rehearsals have been going well. "Phobic" is a nice little script written by fellow Salzburg resident and regular collaborator Janna Ramos-Violante, who I have also cast in TT, and she is squeezing nuanced performances out of Anna (the other actor in "Phobic") and I. The favour will no doubt be returned when it comes to TT filming the week after. Point being, I have to put my all into that, all the while keeping my film ticking along, which is whats happening. The Greenlit crowdfunding venture has a fortnight left, and it has been amazing that we have almost 20 backers, but it has been a game of two halves for sure. Month one was promising and exciting and people have taken a chance and given generously. Month two, September, was not. I put that down to my lack of prep and insight into the whole art of crowdfunding and to be very blunt, it feels like people are probably a bit sick of the whole campaign. Which is fair. It will be good to be done with it and just start to creat, and give back. I am hoping to get started with posters soon, now the cast is in place, I can finally do that. TT is now officially on IMDB, which is great news.
